The moment you confirm a gig, everything else kicks off. Here’s where your show goes.
Instantly
- Your artist page updates. The show appears on your page the second you confirm — anyone looking at it sees the new date without so much as a refresh.
- A calendar link is created. Every show gets an “Add to Calendar” link fans can tap to drop it straight into their phone.
With your permission
Some things are too important to automate blindly, so we text you first:
- WWOZ. You’ll get a text like “Want to send your Tipitina’s show (Fri Jun 12, 9pm) to the WWOZ Livewire? Reply YES or NO.” Reply YES and the listing goes out. Reply NO and it doesn’t. That’s the whole interface.
- Your fan list. If fans have signed up for your texts, you’ll get “Text 12 fans about Tipitina’s (Jun 12)? Reply YES to send.” Your fans only ever hear from you when you’ve said so.
Nothing goes out to WWOZ or your fans without your YES. We just make saying yes take two seconds.
If something needs a human
Once in a while a show needs a second look before it goes out — an unfamiliar venue, a date that reads two ways. When that happens it goes to our review queue and a person handles it, usually fast. You don’t need to do anything.
