I Got a Gig LLC
Effective Date: June 24, 2026 Last Updated: June 24, 2026
I Got a Gig LLC ("I Got a Gig," "we," "us," or "our") is a Louisiana company building a text-message-based platform that helps musicians in New Orleans (and beyond) announce their shows automatically. The full platform is currently in early access. Today, the public site at igotagig.com offers an early-access email signup and serves a small number of musician and venue profile pages bridged from our application server. As additional features come online (SMS cascade, fan subscriptions, paid tiers, calendar submissions), this policy already describes how the data behind them will be handled.
Once the full cascade ships: a musician texts show details to our number, and our system distributes that information — drafting submissions to WWOZ, OffBeat, and other local outlets, sending show announcements to the musician's fan subscriber list, and generating calendar links. No app needed. Just a text. Fans subscribe to a musician's show announcement list by texting a keyword to our number — one text to opt in, one text to opt out.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect today, what we will collect as those features launch, how we use that information, and what rights you have over it. We've written it in plain language on purpose. You shouldn't need a law degree to understand how your data is handled.
I Got a Gig LLC is a Louisiana limited liability company based in New Orleans. The platform we operate is reachable at igotagig.com.

This policy covers three groups of people who interact with us. We want to be clear about which rules apply to whom.
Website visitors are anyone who browses igotagig.com. Early-access subscribers are people who submit the signup form on our homepage to be notified when the I Got a Gig platform opens — we collect an email address and, optionally, an artist or band name. This is the only group whose data we are actively collecting on the public marketing site today.
Musicians are (or will be) paying subscribers who use I Got a Gig to automate their show announcements. They text show details to our system phone number, and our platform does the distribution work — submitting to local publications, texting their fans, and generating calendar links. Musicians interact with us as subscribers to a service. Paid musician subscriptions are launching as part of the platform rollout; the sections below describe how that data will be handled.
Fans are people who will opt in to receive show announcement text messages from a specific musician by texting a keyword to our number. Fans do not have an account with I Got a Gig. Their only relationship with our platform will be receiving SMS messages about shows from the artist they chose to follow. We take that relationship seriously and use their phone numbers for exactly one purpose: delivering those messages. The fan SMS feature is launching with the platform rollout.
When you submit the signup form on our homepage, we collect:
This information is stored in Mailchimp (operated by Intuit Inc.) using their hosted subscriber list service. Mailchimp processes the data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms (see Section 6). We retain early-access records until you unsubscribe — every Mailchimp email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer.
When you visit igotagig.com, we automatically collect standard web analytics data:
Analytics and advertising tools currently loaded on the site:
G-2VXV6LENWC) — website traffic and behavior analytics. A "lead" event is fired
when an early-access signup completes successfully.
wcvqq5qkcx) — session recordings and heatmap analysis so we can see how
visitors navigate the site. Clarity may record your mouse movements,
clicks, scrolls, and the pages you visit. It does not record
passwords or fields marked as sensitive.
940466252024271) — advertising measurement. A PageView event fires on every
page, and a Lead conversion event fires on the signup confirmation
page. These events allow us to measure the effectiveness of paid Facebook/Instagram
campaigns and (when we run them) build lookalike audiences to find more
musicians like the ones who have already signed up.
Cookies: All three of the services above set cookies in your browser. We do not currently display a separate cookie consent banner on this site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and opt out of Meta Pixel tracking via Facebook's Ad Preferences.
Some paths on igotagig.com — including individual artist profile pages
(e.g. /marc-stone), venue pages (e.g. /tipitinas), and live show pages under /live — are not served by the
marketing site itself. They are transparently bridged from our application
server at app.igotagig.com through a reverse proxy hosted
on Cloudflare. The URL in your browser stays on igotagig.com, but the request
and response are forwarded to the platform.
Both surfaces are operated by I Got a Gig LLC and are governed by this same Privacy Policy. The platform may log standard request metadata (timestamps, IP addresses, user-agent strings) for security and operational purposes, and it may set its own session cookies for authenticated areas. The Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Meta Pixel scripts described above are only loaded on the static marketing pages — they are not injected into proxied platform pages.
When you sign up for and use I Got a Gig as a musician — a feature in development — we will collect:
Once the fan SMS feature launches, when you text a keyword to opt in to a musician's show announcement list, we will collect:
We use the email address and (if provided) artist name you submit to:
We do not sell early-access subscriber data, and we do not share it outside of Mailchimp (which acts as our hosted processor). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any email we send.
We use website analytics data to:
We do not sell website visitor data.
Once the platform launches, we will use musician information to:
Once the fan SMS feature launches, we will use fan phone numbers and subscription data to:
We will not use fan phone numbers for any other purpose. Fan numbers will not be used to send I Got a Gig marketing messages, they will not be shared with other musicians on the platform, and they will not be sold. Full stop.
This section contains required disclosures under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA guidelines, and The Campaign Registry (TCR) requirements for A2P 10DLC SMS registration. Please read it carefully.
Current status: SMS-based show announcements are a core feature of the I Got a Gig platform and are launching with the broader rollout. No SMS messages are being sent or received under this policy today. The disclosures below describe how the SMS service will operate once it goes live for subscribers and fans.
Musicians who subscribe to I Got a Gig receive operational SMS messages from our system. These are not marketing messages — they're the working messages that make the service function. They include:
Message frequency: Varies based on how many shows a musician announces. A musician who texts in 4 shows per week may receive approximately 8–16 system messages per week (2–4 confirmations plus 2–4 previews, plus any follow-up interactions). During slow gigging weeks, message volume will be lower.
Opt-out: Musician operational messages are tied to your active subscription. If you cancel your subscription, operational messages will stop. You may also contact privacy@igotagig.com for assistance.
Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
Fans receive show announcement messages from the musician they chose to follow. This section explains every aspect of how that works.
Fans provide explicit consent by texting a keyword (for example, "QUICKENING") to our designated phone number. No show announcements are ever sent to a fan without this opt-in action. We do not add fans to lists automatically, through website forms alone, or from any source other than an inbound keyword text.
Upon opting in, every new fan subscriber receives exactly one confirmation message:
"🎶 You're on [Musician Name]'s list! You'll get a text when they have a show. Reply STOP anytime to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply."
No show announcements are sent until after this confirmation is delivered.
After opting in, fans receive show announcement messages when the musician they follow announces a new gig through I Got a Gig. These messages contain: show date, time, venue, and any additional details the musician includes.
Message frequency: Varies by musician. Fans will receive approximately one message per show that the musician announces through I Got a Gig. Most musicians announce 1–4 shows per week. Message volume is determined entirely by the musician's gigging schedule — we do not inject additional messages on behalf of I Got a Gig.
Fans can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opt-out is immediate. After a fan replies STOP, they will receive one final confirmation message and no further show announcements will be sent:
"You've been unsubscribed from [Musician Name]'s list. You won't receive any more messages from them. Reply START to resubscribe anytime."
Fans can reply HELP to any message to receive:
"I Got a Gig — show announcements for music fans. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Questions? Email help@igotagig.com."
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. I Got a Gig does not charge fans for messages — any charges are between you and your wireless carrier.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier network availability and conditions.
This point is important enough to state plainly on its own:
Fan phone numbers collected through the keyword opt-in process are used for one purpose only: delivering show announcements from the specific musician the fan opted in to follow.
Fan phone numbers collected through our platform are never:
If we ever wish to use fan phone numbers for any purpose beyond show announcements, we will obtain separate, explicit consent before doing so.
All categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
I Got a Gig uses a 10DLC long code for SMS delivery, registered through The Campaign Registry (TCR) as required for A2P 10DLC messaging. Our registered campaign use case is: LOW_VOLUME (Multiple Use Cases).
We do not sell your personal information. We are not in the business of selling data. Our revenue comes from musician subscriptions, not data monetization.
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
We work with the following third-party companies to operate our platform. Each is contractually bound to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us:

When a musician uses I Got a Gig, our system drafts show submissions and — upon the musician's approval — sends those submissions on the musician's behalf to:
This is the core function of the service and is performed at the musician's direction. The information submitted — show venue, date, time, performer name — is intentionally public information that the musician wants published. It is not private data.
We may disclose personal information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required or permitted by law, including in response to a court order, subpoena, or lawful request by public authorities. We may also disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of any person.
If I Got a Gig is acquired, merges with another company, or substantially all of its assets are transferred, your personal information may be part of that transaction. If this happens, we will notify musician subscribers via email and post a prominent notice on our website. You will have the opportunity to request deletion of your information at that time.
We keep your information only as long as we need it. Here's how that breaks down:
Musicians: Account data (name, email, phone number, show history) is retained for the duration of your active subscription plus 90 days after cancellation. That window gives you the ability to reactivate your account without losing your history. After 90 days, your account data is deleted. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
Fans: Phone numbers and subscription records are retained for as long as you remain subscribed to a musician's list, plus 30 days after you unsubscribe. The 30-day buffer allows us to process any delayed STOP requests and prevent accidental re-enrollment. Opt-in records — the record that you texted a keyword, the timestamp, and your phone number — are retained for 4 years even after you unsubscribe. This retention is required for TCPA compliance and exists to protect you: it's the proof that you consented before we ever sent you a message.
Website analytics: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely. Individual-level IP addresses are anonymized per Google Analytics 4 default retention settings.
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:
To make any of these requests, email us at privacy@igotagig.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Once paid subscriptions are live, you may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting help@igotagig.com or through your account settings. Upon cancellation, your account remains accessible during your billing period, then enters a 90-day retention window before deletion.
To unsubscribe from show announcements: Reply STOP to any message. This is immediate and always available — you never need to contact us to opt out.
To request removal of your phone number from our system entirely: Email privacy@igotagig.com. Note that opt-in records (timestamp and method) may be retained for up to 4 years for TCPA compliance purposes even after your number is removed from active mailing lists.
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at privacy@igotagig.com with the subject line "CCPA Request."
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. To opt out of Meta Pixel tracking, visit Facebook's Ad Preferences.
We take the security of your information seriously. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction — including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), limited internal access to personal data, and use of reputable, security-certified third-party providers (Twilio, Stripe).
That said, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
A note about SMS: Text messages are transmitted through third-party carrier networks and are not end-to-end encrypted. Please do not send sensitive personal information (Social Security numbers, passwords, financial account numbers) via text message to our system. Show details — dates, venues, set times — are exactly the kind of information SMS is appropriate for.
I Got a Gig is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@igotagig.com.
Our platform and website may contain links to third-party websites and services — including WWOZ, OffBeat Magazine, Gambit, Spotify, Mailchimp, and others. These links are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our product evolves, as we add new features, or as applicable law changes. When we update this policy, we will:
Continued use of the platform after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not agree with changes, you may cancel your musician subscription or opt out of fan messages at any time.
