Fixing a mistake or cancelling a show

Two different situations here, and they don’t work the same way.

Before you’ve confirmed

If our summary text has something wrong in it, don’t reply yes — reply with the correction. “Doors are at 10, not 9.” We’ll send a fresh summary. Confirm when it’s right, or reply RESTART to drop it and start over.

After the show is live

This one’s different, and it’s worth knowing before you need it: texting a change or a cancellation to the hotline won’t update or remove the show. It reads as a brand new gig and adds a second listing next to the one you meant to fix.

the June 12 Maple Leaf show is cancelled

That looks like an instruction. To us it looks like a booking for a show called “the June 12 Maple Leaf show is cancelled” — which is exactly the kind of thing that ends up wrong on your page and on WWOZ’s calendar.

Changing or pulling a published show is something we do by hand, on purpose, so nothing gets altered by accident. Email help@igotagig.com or reply to any of our texts and tell us what changed — wrong time, wrong venue, the gig fell through, whatever it is. We’ll take it from there.

When in doubt

Not sure whether something’s already live, or just want a second set of eyes on your page? Same answer: email us. A real person reads it.

Still stuck? Email help@igotagig.com — you'll get a person.
